Services for Children
First Dental Visit
We recommend a child's first visit by age 1 or when their first tooth appears. We make it a positive, low-pressure introduction to the dental chair.
Cleanings & Exams
Regular cleanings every 6 months remove plaque and tartar, while exams catch any developing issues early.
Fluoride Treatments
Fluoride strengthens developing enamel and dramatically reduces the risk of cavities in children.
Dental Sealants
Thin protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth — the most cavity-prone area in kids.
Cavity Fillings
When cavities do occur, we treat them quickly and gently using tooth-colored composite fillings.
Orthodontic Monitoring
We monitor jaw and tooth development and refer for orthodontic evaluation when the time is right.
Tips for Parents
Parent FAQs
When should my child first see a dentist?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a child's first dental visit by their first birthday or within 6 months of their first tooth appearing.
How often should kids get cleanings?
Every 6 months is the standard recommendation for most children. Some kids with higher cavity risk may benefit from more frequent visits.
Are dental X-rays safe for children?
Yes. We use low-radiation digital X-rays and only take them when clinically necessary. The radiation exposure is minimal and the diagnostic benefit is significant.
Do you accept Medi-Cal for children?
Yes. We accept Medi-Cal dental (Denti-Cal) for eligible children and will help you understand what's covered at no cost.
